Gosaikunda-Religious Faith-Nepal

Gosainkunda Lake is a famous destination for Hindu and Buddhist devotees as well as foreigners also. Gosai-Kunda is Located in Rasuwa, Himalayan district of Nepal. This Mountain pool is a very important religious pilgrimage site for Buddhists and Hindus. Not only this, but it is also a very beautiful and attractive place which is blessed with the beautiful gift of Nature and is also an important place for other adventurous hikers.

                            According to Hindu religious texts, the Lake was created by Lord Shiva, the Hindu deity of the Hindus. By the religious statements, to do immortality, when the Gods and Demons together began to churn the ocean to get Nector it's also called 'Samundra Manthan'. During the churning of the ocean, the poison came out before the Nector and the Gods and Demons cried out. After the famine, the Gods and Demons went to the shelter of Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva drinks poison to save the entire civilization he has created from being destroyed. Sadly, the poison has a negative effect and he wanders around the Himalay and breaks the mountain with his trident to draw water. From the water that comes out a lake and in that Lake he rests, drink water and experiences peace. For this reason, Gosaikunda, the center of faith of all Hindu, is also a place of salvation. That is why there is a religious belief that bathing, giving alms, and offering tarpan in Gosaikuna will save the father and go to Heaven, get rid of the sins committed for the rest of their lives, and fulfill their desires.

                       Thousands of tourist from home(Nepal) and abroad visit Gosaikunda, which is full of beauty, the risky place is a sacred and attractive destination for both spiritual and physical trekking. To Gosaikunda, one has to start the journey from Kathmandu, the city of temples, its about 40km. It takes about 2-3 days from Kathmandu to reach the sacred pool in the lap of Himalayas. Its base camp is Dhunche Bazar. This place has good facilities for you to relax and food
                         A journey of about two hours from Dhunche Bazaar, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of nature. You can also use a horse to make the journey easier. During the trip protected wild animals such as Red Panda, Himalayan Bear, Musk Deer, Leopard, Himalayan Thar, and birds can be seen in the National Park. This is a special area included in the National Park of Nepal government.
There are 14 types of vegetarians in 18 ecosystem types that range from upper tropical forest below 1000 meters/3300 feet altitudes to alpine scrub and perennial ice. Important Herbs also found in this area like; Oka, Chir Pane, Maple Fir, Hemlock, and so on.

July-August for religious pilgrims and Autumn-Spring for other hikers or trekkers is considered the best time. Due to unstable weather trekking to Gosaikunda can be a little hectic but the views will make you forget all stress.
                         While you trekking to Gosaikunda, you will see the view of many snow-capped mountains.
You can see the panoramic view of mountains in the Lang Tang area and some of the Annapurna Mountains range too. The view of Lang Tang(7227mtrs), Ganesh Himal(7422mtrs), Changbu(6251mtrs), Kinshung Himal(6781mtrs), Yobra Himal(6264mtrs), Yala Himal(5500mtrs), Dorje Lakpa(6966mtrs), Langshisa Ri(6427mtrs) and so on.
